A: The web site migration service offered by CrownHost is totally free of charge and involves moving all your web files, databases and e–mails from your present web hosting provider to your new hosting account with us. We will also edit all the settings necessary for your sites to be fully operational on our ultramodern cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are fully capable of transferring any type of website. With years of experience behind their backs, they’re well–versed in the specificities of our cloud hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other famous Control Panels. For them, transferring a custom–made web application with many custom libraries is as elementary as moving a simple WordPress–based blog.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time interval, since there are a lot of factors, including the size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to transfer your website within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (if the website content is not large).

A: We do not need any personal info. We’ll need, though, the login information for your old hosting account along with the name of the site that you would like to move.

A: Before we can start the migration of your hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to share the exact same details you have provided to your previous hosting provider. We’ve also got a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how private info is tackled.

A: Nah. Your web site will continue to be fully operational during the migration. As soon as everything is completed on our end, we will tell you so that you can examine it and check for any problems. If everything’s alright, all you will need to do is update your domain name’s DNS resource records.

A: Nah. We will never touch base with your hosting provider about anything. They will not be aware of the web site migration either.

A: We support all Linux–powered web hosting platforms. Fundamentally, if we can receive access to your Control Panel, we’ll be able to transfer your site.The only platforms that we don’t support are closed–source web site management platforms such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
